So while Word Clock uses the same BNC connection, and cable types, I can never get the Big Ben to show a valid sync when I connect it to the 48kHz in port on the QS8. Like you could sync all of your Alesis gear together when recording to an ADAT(conveniently also made by Alesis). I'm thinking these devices may have pre-dated the Word Clock standard, and that 48kHz in port isn't actually a Word Clock port, but is more of an Alesis-proprietary sync port. Interestingly the QS8 has a 48kHz In port on the back - which leads me to my question. I do understand the need to digital sync once you enter that domain, and I do have an Apogee Big Ben for some other connected gear. Never really messed with the digital out connections, but I've been playing around with the studio connections recently. I have an Alesis QS8 that I've used for years.
